Ways to Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved in Educate!.  We’ve listed as many as we could below, but if you have any other ideas, definitely let us know!  Our many volunteers, supporters and evangelists have made Educate! what it is today, and it is the support of you and others like you that will allow Educate! to continue growing and empowering more socially responsible young leaders in Africa.  

Tell a Friend About Educate!

Sign Up for Our Newsletter

This is the best way to stay updated on Educate!’s progress.  Our monthly newsletter highlights the impact our students are making and the work of Educate!’s staff and volunteers.  

Become an Educate! Angel

What does that mean?  An Educate! Angel supports the organization by holding an event to introduce his or her friends and family to Educate!.  An Educate! Angel event is typically very informal and involves a couple

bottles of wine, a screening of Educate!’s documentary, Lighting Africa’s Future, as well as a short discussion about what Educate! does.  Contact us today to become an Educate! Angel.  

Volunteer

Become part of our cause by volunteering with us in Uganda.  Are you a student? Then you should consider applying for the Educate! Internship and spending a summer in Uganda working side by side with our staff and students.

Start a Club!

Start an Educate! club at your school.  You can help raise awareness about the work Educate! is doing and raise money to invest in one or more Educate! Scholars.  Not ready to start a club?  We’d still love your help in getting a club going at your school.

• Talk to your high school or college about starting an Educate! club
• Let your local Rotary Club know about Educate!’s efforts to empower the next generation of socially responsible leaders in Africa
• Add us to your email signature and raise money and awareness for us (yes we mentioned this before but we love this!)
• Arrange to have us speak about our work at your school or workplace. We can even show our documentary
• Blog about us
• Sign up for a free pharmacy discount card and earn $3 for Educate!.  
• Share an Educate! blog post with your facebook network
• Email 10 friends and tell them you support us and that they should too
• Tweet us, digg us, etc….
• Tell someone you know in the media about what we’re doing
• Reach out to 5 bloggers and let them know what we’re up to
