At the heart of Educate! is a deep compassion characterized by five values:

Personal Leadership:

The first step to realizing a vision of positive change, personal leadership is thoughtful decision making, hard work and dedication, discipline and perseverance to face and overcome challenges, commitment to high standards, humility, and self-respect.

Innovation:

Innovation turns challenges into opportunities through resourcefulness and the determination and courage to break norms and think creatively.

Ethical Action:

Integral to creating positive change, ethical action is characterized by selflessness, willingness to sacrifice, ability to share ideas and insight, strong moral foundation, actions consistent with beliefs and promises, a clear conscience, personal contentment, and sincerity.

Powerful Relationships:

Relationships are the key to empowerment.  Such relationships are built on connections within and between humans and the environment; mentorship; teamwork; respect for family, friends, community, and the environment; and the value of diverse people and ideas.

Exponential Empowerment:

Empowering one individual creates an impact that spreads exponentially as that individual goes on to empower others.  Best said by Educate! student Benson Wereje: “Just one match can spark a wildfire.”
