Why Support Educate! 

• Educate! addresses the root cause: The most fundamental challenge facing Uganda and Africa is the lack of socially responsible leadership – this is the problem Educate! directly addresses.  By empowering students to become socially responsible leaders, we are empowering them to develop internally driven solutions to the challenges facing their society, from poverty to AIDS, to corruption, to tribalism.


• Exponential Empowerment: Once empowered, Educate! Scholars go on to positively impact many others.  Educate! calls this the Exponential Empowerment Effect.  By investing in one individual, the impact of the organizations spreads – this is central to Educate!’s approach.


• Experienced: Educate! has six years of experience and receives valuable guidance and advice from two advisory boards – one in Uganda and one in the US – and the countless individuals, schools, and organizations across the world who act as informal advisors.


• Effective: Educate!’s model of combining education with leadership and mentoring was inspired by the original students Educate! provided scholarships to.  The remarkable success of the Educate! students in their community is the best testament to the effectiveness of the organization.


• Scalable: The Educate! Experience can easily and inexpensively be taken to a large scale. Only $600 will put one Educate! Scholar through the two year Experience which empowers him or her to help to solve the societal, environmental, and economic challenges facing Uganda.


• Educate! creates a long-term impact: The impact of Educate! carries on long after the Experience is over.  After completing the two-year Experience, the Educate! Scholars and Mentors join an alumni network that will assist them to further their careers as leaders in diverse fields.
