Agnes Arot

Educate! Scholar, Agnes Arot, was determined to alleviate her family’s financial hardships by bridging her entrepreneurship skills and her interests in agriculture. Rather than being discouraged by the limited resources available to start a business, Agnes took on the basic task of weeding peanut fields, which helped her to acquire the money to buy a hen.

That hen laid ten chicks, which allowed her sell two in order to purchase her first pig. Agnes could literally see her business expanding by the numbers! With the unrelenting encouragement of her mentor, Agnes has utilized the minimal capital available to provide valuable income for her large family.
