Our Approach

Africa has the world's youngest and fastest-growing population.

70% of the population across Eastern and Southern Africa is under the age of 30, and by 2035, Africa will contribute more young people to the global workforce than the rest of the world combined.

With more young people entering the labor market than ever, but too few jobs and limited practical learning to prepare them, millions face rising unemployment, deepening poverty, and limited pathways to build productive livelihoods.

Africa’s youth are a powerful force for change. Young people can drive economic growth and prosperity across the continent — if prepared with the practical skills to succeed in today’s economy.

Our Model

Educate! delivers an evidence-based learning experience designed to equip young people with the most essential skills to transition to work. Through hands-on learning, real-world experience launching a business, individualized support and mentorship, young people develop the tools to secure employment, exercise agency, and pursue economic opportunity.

Our Approach

At Educate!, we're obsessed with impact. We leverage iterative learning to build cost-effective, scalable youth employment solutions aimed at unlocking the potential of the world’s youngest continent. We deliver our solution through:

Livelihood Bootcamps for Young Women Unable to Access Secondary School

We deliver livelihood bootcamps to rural young women and girls unable to complete secondary school, partnering across rural communities to uplift young people who face the greatest barriers to skill-building and employment.

Employment-focused Subject Delivered in Schools

We partner with schools, teachers, and governments to integrate an employment-focused school subject into national education systems, supporting government-led, system-level change for generations of youth. This approach is built with sustainability at its core, enabling end-to-end government adoption at national scale.

Where We Work

To date, more than 500,000 youth have been measurably impacted and along the way, Educate! has become the largest youth employment and skills provider in East Africa.
