Marica Rizzo
Global Director of People
Marica brings a multidisciplinary background shaped by experience across marketing, operations, research, and social impact. Her career reflects a consistent focus on learning from different contexts and applying those insights to build effective, people-centered initiatives.
She began her career in marketing and communications, working with a professional soccer team and Team Canada for the Paralympic Games, before contributing to research for Vancouver’s Economic Development Commission. She later served as operations manager at skoah, supporting the company’s expansion across Canada and the United States. Marica then transitioned into the social impact sector, designing a mentorship experience for young women in Southeast Asia at Wedu and later joining Acumen’s Innovation Team. At Acumen, she developed and managed online courses and fellowship experiences, and supported internal change management as the organization launched Acumen Academy.
Marica holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and is completing a Master of Science in Digital Anthropology at University College London.
Marica has been with Educate! since 2023.
