Tanzania Foundation Strategy - Fall in Love With the Problem

We believe lasting change starts with a deep commitment to understanding the problem before locking in on a solution. In Tanzania, that means immersing ourselves in the realities of students, teachers, schools, and partners — listening, learning, and adapting again and again.

This strategy presentation lays out the why behind our work in Tanzania. It explores the country’s bold education reforms, the opportunities and challenges of one of Africa’s fastest-growing youth populations, and how Educate! is partnering with the Tanzanian government to co-create an employment-focused Business Studies subject.

But this is not a fixed playbook. The specifics of execution will evolve — because the problems we’re tackling are complex, and the context is always changing. What won’t change is our North Star, which is: Every Student has a viable Business Plan that they can start within 3 months of finishing Ordinary Level (O’Level).

This is a living vision — a foundation to align us all, while leaving room to iterate, innovate, and stay in love with the problem.
